Ecuadorians are famous around the world for their beautiful handicrafts and artisan goods. Within the city, there are a number of markets where locals can buy a vending licence and sell their goods. On the weekends, a number of indigenous families come from outlying provinces to sell their products in the city markets. Libby and I would often visit these markets to purchase items for our house or gifts for our friends and family. During this particular day, I built up enough nerve to ask this lady if I could take her photo. She said yes, as long as I bought something from her stall. As a result, this is a image that I was very pleased with.
